(A True Story)

Radha, a village girl lives with her brother Keshav. She is loved by one and all in the village for her good deeds and helping tendency.

Vijay, an orphan, who has been brought up by the Munsif of the village, becomes a doctor and settles in the village. Radha and Vijay fall in love with each other and their marriage takes place with everybody's blessings. On that marriage night, Vijay goes to the next village to attend on a patient, cures him and while returning, drowns in the floods and dies.

Radha does not know the news of Vijay's death. The villagers also conceal the news from her and tells her that her husband has gone to Bombay along with the patient since the patient has become serious and that he will return only after some time. Radha believes it and waits for Vijay's return.

In Bombay there is a doctor by name Ashok, whose face exactly resembled as Vijay's. He is happily married to Padma and they have a kid daughter. Ashok, comes to the village of Radha to attend his friend's marriage. There, he comes to know the tragic story of Radha. He asks Keshav, to bring Radha to Bombay, so that he will treat her and finally tell the truth.
Keshav takes Radha to Bombay.

Dr. Ashok acts as her husband under the advice of his senior doctor.

Padma Dr. Ashok's wife comes to know about this affair and starts suspecting her husband.

Was she cleared of her suspicion.

Could Doctor Ashok tell the truth to Radha.

Did Radha come to know the tragic death of her husband.

All these queries are answered in the most dramatic and interesting manner in Sujatha International's DULHAN.
