Riyasat Ali Wasti, also credited as Wasti, regaled audiences with his acting in films such as Sanjog (1943), Pehle Aap (1944), Balam (1949), Gumashta (1951), Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai (1961), Saat Sawal Yane Haatim Tai (1971), and Patanga (1971).

Wasti debuted in New Oriental Films, Lahore's Premyatra (1937). He had roles of substance in Dil Deke Dekho (1959), Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, and Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon (1963). He also played the lead role in Sohrab Modi's historical Ek Din Ka Sultan (1945).
