Those were the golden days of youth of Renu and Asha, two girlfriends- dearly devoted to each other. The former was the daughter of Barrister Sinha and later the daughter of the clerk of Mr. Sinha. One was born with a silver spoon in mouth while the other saw the light of the day in the cradle of poverty, misery and misfortunes. But still both played together in childhood, read together in growing youth and were still together even after finishing their education. Both were ardent admirers of music, specially of one Mr. Premendra, a melodious singer of the Radio and Gramophone Co. Both loved his song and admired him like anything.

Asha was attractive and smart, she took the initiative met her hero at Gramophone Co. While Renu was coy and shy, she met him per-chance but under the guise of one Mr. Radhakant. But the day Renu came to know about this fact she got the shock of her life.

It became Herculean task for the hero the clear the matter, but he was a smart guy he cleared all misunderstanding that happened even afterwards and tried to keep Renu in humour. But when one day his father all of a sudden appeared with a marriage party to marry him with Asha, his cleverness and wits were at bay.

Asha never knew that Renu loved Premendra and that he was meeting her regularly. She came to know of it from her friend Lata, a care free happy go lucky girl, just few moments before the marriage. She was upset, but nothing could be done as the marriage party was now on the door.

What happened to Renu when she came to know about the marriage of Asha and Premendra? How Asha took to things when she came to know that Premendra loved Renu and not her?

See you on the Silvery Screen.
