"Humlaa" is an adventurous tale of every young Indian who is poor, unemployed and helpless, who visualises his fancy dreams either being crushed under the realitie of truth or struggling to materialise his flights by adopting wrong ways.

Shiv Prasad is one such youngman who spurns his village and comes to Bombay aspiring to become a big man. In Bombay he meets his elder brother Bhawani Prasad, a renowned smuggler, and is totally bewildered to behold his enormous wealth and power. He determines to attain himself the same glittering power by fair or foul means.

Bhawani tries his best to prevent Shiva straying to life of crime and pleads him to refrain for the sake of their old parents. But Shiva' lust for gold does not yield to any earthly advise. Even Shiva's beloved Seema warns him of the inevitable dangers that lie ahead but Shiva does not heed it at all His passion to get quick rich picks up more momentum.

To add fuel in the fire, comes along Bhawani's arch rival smuggler Jagtap, and to win friendship of Jagtap, Shiva becomes the bitter enemy of his own brother Bhawani.

Jagtap succeeds in his wily schemes-Shiva is caught in the trap of Jagtap.

To undo this dragnet of Jagtap, a tug of war sparks off between the brothers and Satan - war of truth over vice - war of love over hatred - culminating into a sensational and bloody onslaught - "HUMLAA".
