China Town! The world famous Calcutta district where the street lights burned day long in its dim alleys… area never seen by Calcutta’s million citizens……a closed chapter to the outside world. China Town! Where mystery and terror walked hand in hand….where the smoke-filled cafes served exotic food and presented exciting cabarets. China Town!

Shekhar and Mike were twins, separated in childhood, but fate brought them together in China Town. Shekhar was a cabaret entertainer….Mike a gangster’s aide. Shekhar met and fell in love with Rai Bahadur Digamber Prasad’s daughter at Darjeeling- an affair which shocked the girl’s aristocratic father, but he could not shake off the enthusiastic youngman. Shekhar followed the family to Calcutta, and as a result was arrested when he stole into their house to meet Rita.

The Police were astounded to find an amazing resemblance between Shekhar and the gangster Mike. They realized that they could utilize Shekhar’s services to expose the criminal racket rampant in China Town. But if the twins were identical in all respects, there was one man they could not fool. Shoemaker Ching Lee discovered that Shekhar wore a different size of shoe….one’s foot could not lie….and so Shekhar could not be Mike. The news spread like wildfire through China Town’s grim underworld….there was an imposter in their midst…and the mystery and excitement of “CHINA TOWN” high tension drama suddenly exploded amidst the brilliance of high adventure that was to blow up the deepest mystery lurking amidst China Town’s darkest shadows.
