Live and let live was the philosophy by which Raja and his friends lived. That blissful period between having completed their education and facing the responsibilities of life was filled with jokes, pranks, and laughter. Even Ram Avtarpaanvala in their street could not keep himself from these educated youths.

Poonam a young girl staying opposite Raja's house shared their laughter silently. Gradually, Raja and Poonam developed a liking for each other which grew into love. Fate took a turn one day and Raja's gay life became serious with the killing of his elder during a factory strike.

Raja was faced with responsibilities. He had a mother and sister to look after. He searched for a job but without a success.

Poonam, on the other hand, was tired of the monotony of life and poverty. She requested Raja to help her out of poverty. But Raja was a victim of circumstance himself. He lost Poonam but found Rashmi.

Rashmi, a sentimental young girl, gave him all hope and happiness in the world. And the laughter, which he had forgotten, the lover's dream was shattered by Arjun Mallick.

Who was Arjun Mallick? What happened to Poonam-what happened to Rashmi-and her lover for Raja?

Was Rashmi a dream or Poonam? For all these, see IEE KAY Films ANARI.
