This is the story of a rich industrialist, a noble soul, named Ashok Mehra, whose lovely wife Neena gives birth to a bonny girl - and dies, leaving Ashok Mehra and Baby Mini all alone to face the world.

This is the story of Radha and her husband Raj Bedi - a professional photographer who is a victim of an accident, the result of which he is paralysed. Radha out of sheer distress is forced to lie that she is unmarried and takes up a job of a governess to look after Ashok Mehra's daughter, Mini. She takes up the job to enable herself to earn enough money to cure her husband and to run the home.

It's a sheer co-incident that Radha resembles Ashok Mehra's dead wife Neena.

Ashok Mehra's observation of Radha's attachment and love towards Mini creates a place in Ashok Mehra's heart for Radha.

Raj Bedi the crippled husband of Radha starts suspecting the relationship of Radha with Ashok Mehra with suspicious eye.

Radha is caught up in a whirlpool of Ashok Mehra's love and on the other side jealously and suspicion of her husband Raj Bedi.

Ashok Mehra is a victim of misunderstanding - ad proposes to Radha. A lie told out of frustration by Radh - lands her u where???...
