Aaj Ke Shahenshah revolves around people who have different sets of values in life! One of our main protagonists being Sawan (Chunky Pandey) who believes that “Target strength can be called the true emperor of life.” This idea of his, however, changes soon after he meets Barkha (Sonam) who has a very clear conviction that “Mohabbat” - love and only love, can rule the world. Along their course of the meeting, Sawan and Barkha come across Pinky (Sonika Gill) the only daughter of the underworld Kanchan Seth (Raza Murad), who feels that “Daulat” money power is the real power in life. Pinky, however, falls for Sawan, who in turn has already promised Barkha that they shall marry each other. Sawan and Barkha have also decided to make their guardian's meet each other and the marriage in totality. So Sawan brings his brother Barsati (Raj Babbar) who is the King of his locality and with the power he does the noble job of helping the helpless. Barkha, on the other hand, brings her brother Vicky (Jeetendra) who is a messiah of sorts and has sworn to wipe out all drug traffickers and evildoers. But suddenly the events take a shocking twist when Barsati and Vicky come face to face. The moment they see each other, they get enraged and declare and proclaim that this marriage can never materialize. Sawan and Barkha are absolutely bewildered at this strange turn of events and are at a loss of understanding till their respective brothers explain the reason behind ferocious proclamation i.e. the reason for their ENMITY!

However, along the line Sawan and Barkha decided never to live apart and unite themselves even at the cost of fighting the whole world to help them to fulfill this dream, they have as a keen supporter Nisha (Kimi Katkar) who live alone with her younger brother Bunty (Vishal Nihalani) who was once a drug addict. With great difficulty,  she could get her brother out of his nightmare, but only after creating enmity with the local drug lord Mangla (Ranjeet) who was also sent to jail due to Nisha’s complaint. Nisha now tries her level best to see that Sawan and Barkha’s brother’s reconciled on the other hand Kanchan Seth promises his only daughter Pinky that he will get Sawan for her by any means, even if means by doing away with anyone’s life! Mangla now is released from jail and swears revenge against Nisha.

What finally happens to Sawan and Barkha’s love? Does their beautiful dream ever come true? Do their fire breathing brothers ever reconcile? Again what evil does Kanchan Seth bring to try and fulfill his daughter Pinky’s aspirations regarding Sawan? Does Pinky finally get Sawan? On the other hand, does Mangla succeed in taking his share of revenge? well, the answer to all these intriguing and interesting questions is the even more interesting fare of D.S. Films.....AAJ KE SHAHENSHAH.
