ZOR is the story of the circumstantial transformation of a brilliant press photographer into a combatant of evil.

A family man, our protagonist (lead role played with his usual intensity by Sunny Deol) is a press photographer who is always successful in beating his rivals in getting the consummate 'scoop of the day' story. A family man, he lives with his grandmother (Dina Pathak), his upright Police Commissioner father (Anupam Kher) and his lovely younger sister (Deepanjali). His aims in life are simple. To be the best in his profession, and while doing so, make his family, and his best friend (Milind Gunaji), playing a righteous BSF official), proud of his deeds.

The rival newspaper hires a goofy duo (played by Sushmita Sen, our female protagonist, and Laxmikant Berde) to try and upstage our hero, but as it is won't happen, they fall flat on their face. In the process, Sushmita Sen's character falls heads over heels over our debonair photographer.

Sunny could not have had it better His sister is about to be engaged to someone she loves, he himself has found someone he loves immensely and the family is overjoyed at the pleasant turn of events. However, the forces of evil and circumstances are at hand to literally spoil the party.

Does the troika of religion, community and politics really consider our hero as a threat to their existence and possibly, to their evil intent of destroying the social fabric of our country? Did his friend really betray him? Will he be able to absolve his father of the wrong accusations that the evil troika has successfully condemned of? Will he be able to revive his once successful career? Will his family be able to become a bonded unit again? Will he be able to consummate his newly found true love? Will he survive against the onslaught of the forces of evil? See ZOR at a cinema near you on February 13, 1998 for the answers.
