In the scorching heat of the desert sat the Darwesh and showered his blessings on Tulla and Ismail Baig hoping that his prayers would be answered giving birth to a true and immortal love. And it did happen……….. Fate followed its pre-destined course.

Sohni, the sweet fragrance from the village Gujran of Punjab and Mirza Izzat Baog miles apart in Bukhara were surrendered to each other long before they met.

Leaving all the comforts behind, Mirza, made his journey towards Hindustan in search of his destiny. On the way he come across Salamat—a slave whom he freed and Salamat accompanied his savior. Then he had to fight again with the dacoit Zara to rescue Jabru. Moments freezed, leaves tingled, air whispered but……… the avaricious and crooked elements of the world could not bear a divine and pure love. Sohni was caged in boundaries of restrictions and Mirza who became Mahiwal in her love was put to trial with false charges.

Their love was the fate but, what the fate was none knew!
