Vinay Kumar, the leading diamond merchant of India, persuades the British Government to send Kohinoor diamond to India for a few days, so that the Indians can see their ancient pride. Chief Minister (Prem Chopra) Super-Cop Suryadev Singh (Dharmendra) is the incharge of the security of Kohinoor. Johny (Jackie Shroff) is a master jewel thief who is hired by Prince Arjun (Ashok Kumar) and Jucasso (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) to steal the Kohinoor. Does he succeed in doing So? If not, then who is the jewel thief? Because Kohinoor does get stolen. Vinay Kumar (Dev Anand), the leading diamond merchant of India mortgages his entire museum of priceless jewels worth thousands of crores as security deposit in order to bring Kohinoor diamond for its exhibition in India.
