In the Palatial Haveli of Thakur Vikram Singh, one drizzling night an accidental crash between 'Aarti', Thakur Saheb's 6 years old daughter and 'Deva' 11 year old orphaned child becomes the cause of a childhood playmateship between the two. Deva, who is now a servant in the haveli, grows up in company of Aarti and with passage of time develops love for her
One day young and impatient Deva, forgetting the void between servant and mistress proposes his love to her. This enrages Thakur Saheb and results into scuffle. Thakur Saheb is accidentally killed with his own gun in the scuffle. Deva flees with charge of Thakur Saheb's murder. Poor Aarti is left in charge of pujari.
Deva in order to save himself from police, joins a gang of dacoit where, due to his bravery is coroneted their Sardar. Bijlee a dacoitess of the same gang falls in love with Deva, but Deva's heart is craving for the fragrance of Aarti's love and everlasting search for her.
On the other side Aarti is leading the life of a village girl as Pujari's daughter. Once while plucking flowers she meets Vijay who is a cade police officer and at present has come to the village to spend his leave. Ther's was a love at first sight. The flower of love blossoms in their hearts. This meets roving eyes of dacoit Deva but before he could grab Aarti, enters the scene cunning Pannalal, the man who knows Aarti's past and is awaiting to pounce over Aarti's as well as Vijay's wealth disguised as Deva Pannalala attempts rape on Aarti but in the resultant accidental fires Aarti is blinded Deva again gets the blame.
Furious Deva attacks the village and takes blind Aarti away and keeps her in his den.
In the city Inspector Vijay is given the charge to arrest Deva who has eloped with Aarti within no time Vijay becomes nightmare for Deva. Sensing the danger, Deva arranges a forced marriage with Aarti. But on the spur of moment arrives Vijay. And then begins an inevitable confrontation between Deva's power on one side, Vijay's love and duty on the other side and Pannalal's hatred - In the midst of this stands helpless blind Aarti.
