And Chhaya developed a zealous fondness for the baby.

One day, as she was airing him in a pram, the sudden arrival of a car resulted in a clash. The injuries were only minor for the baby-but really major for Magistrate Amarnath, the owner of the car. It was a badly pierced heart. Cognizable offence, Mr. Magistrate!

Chhaya was staying with her brother Shankar, a man more familiar with alcohol than water where his thirst was concerned. All his father's money was very carefully converted by him into this precious liquid. In one of his super-intoxicated moods one day. he involved himself in a serious brawl and was packed off to the prison by Magistrate Amarnath who was ignorant of his being Chhaya's brother.

Shankar's imprisonment trailed thick clouds of misfortunes for Chhaya who was in sublime ignorance about her brother's plight. With creditors attachment and landlord's ejectment the canopy of skies was the only cover left for her in a vast world.

Service hunt, she felt, was inevitable in the midst of her helplessness and a casual meeting with the police inspector Prakash supplied the clue. He had undertaken to find a song and' dance mistress for the little sister of his friend and old crony, Magistrate Amarnath.

For Amarnath she was god-sent !

Life for Chhaya once again took a sweet engrossing turn. How she loved and hugged her new duties ! She was constantly blessing her student and her stars.

But the stars seek their satisfaction in a singularly wayward course. A lady Doctor who had a soft corner for Amarnath had only frustration as her response from that quarter thus far. She now hails a wonderful opportunity for the exercise of her wonderful wits.

Amarnath is made to believe that Chhaya is a mother cheating him wholesale !

Earnestly implored by him to unravel the mystery, Chhaya prefers to keep her lips almost sealed on the subject. Rudely disappointed Amarnath leaves her.

She and the baby are now absolutely helpless in a heartless world. In her wanderings she stumbles on a Baby Show and chances to secure a prize for her baby but is arrested on a charge of baby theft !

Whose baby though?
Does the last laugh really go to the lady Doctor, the diabolical brain behind the show?
Where is the justice of Heaven?
