The wonderful creator of this world has created life in so many different forms-on this beautiful earth, in the sky and also in the depths of the earth. Amidst all his creations if we find something beyond all our imagination we call it a wonder of the world. Such a magical wonder is mermaid (Jalpari)-for the very first time in Indian cinema we witness a mermaid (Jalpari) in the film LAAL PAREE.

LAAL PAREE is that fantastic creature we call a mermaid, human till the waist and then a fish's tail. But the wonder of wonders is that if she lives on land, she becomes completely human and in the water she is fish.

When Shekhar had almost been drowned it was Jalparee who had saved his life...and it was her love for him that brought her to live on land. Their Life and Love was for each other. On the threshold of marriage, Shankar's friend Johny learns of the Jalparee's reality. On one hand the scientist Jacob wants to become famous by proving the existence of Jalparee (a mermaid). Besides this, there is the devil Kalia who wants to sell mermaid (Jalparee) to a foreigner.

In this storm of life, what happens to Jalparee and her love for Shankar? All you answer will be seen in the film LAAL PAREE.
