Shadilal, the trusted cashier of a bank, has to transport gold jewellery to Bombay. As he is a trusted employee, he himself is sent to Bombay to ensure the safe transportation of the ornaments. Meanwhile, his son Kanwal, falls in love with the millionaire Durgadas's daughter, Madhuri. Kanwal finds himself pitted against the villainous Ramesh. Ramesh, who is not only Durgadas's secretary and the nephew of Madhuri's stepmother but also a suitor for Madhuri and hence the rivalry between Kanwal and Ramesh deepens. However, news that Shadilal was involved in the murder of an actress in the city and ran away with the jewellery surfaces and the marriage is cancelled. Much later, the true events that took place at the time of the murder come to light and Kanwal, now an advocate fights the case from his father’s side.
