Vishal alongwith his newly wed wife Jyoti lands in Bombay, the city of aspirations, hopes and dreams.
He is likely to find a job with his family friend who is fondly called 'Boss'.
Vishal and Jyoti are dazzled by the sights and lights of Bombay - they do not know what goes on behind the lights - in the darkness.
Four youths try to molest school girls who have come to play at the beach. Jyoti intervenes and she slaps Prince who is the spoilt son of Dharmatma.
He along with his friends rape Jyoti in her own house - Vishal on returning home finds beloved Jyoti lying dead - the marks of human beasts.
Vishal a decent, honest and normal boy now turns into a hissing cobra. He knocks at all the doors of Justice - all he gets in return is silence.
Finally he comes to Dharmatma alongwith the taxi driver who had shown his beloved Jyoti and him the city of Bombay. He asks for justice from Dharmatma who says no one has returned empty handed from his court of Justice... But, JUSTICE delayed is JUSTICE denied, and in the concrete Jungle of Bombay he hunts for the killers of Jyoti. In his crusade he is helped by a girl whose name is also Jyoti - She is a dancer in a hotel - not for money - but just for the kick of it.
He becomes the hunter and the hunted in turn and eliminates one by one, the beasts who had raped and killed his wife, and the last boy Prince turns out to be Dharmatma's son - Vishal now demands justice from Dharmatma. The God father is numbed into silence ... and of course there is inspector Shakti Singh on the trial - his only grudge is that the criminals are given protection from the Top ! KAHAN HAI KANOON...
