This is a story of a simple and innocent boatman Gopal (Aditya Pancholi) who silently loved a young college student Geeta (Amala) who had come on an execusion to the village with other students of which Geeta was not aware at the same time. Geeta comes to know that Geeta is already married to man named Rakesh (Kiran Kumar) he becomes heart broken.

Another boatman Ganguva (Kadar Khan) request Geeta to take Gopal to the city with them as a servant to which she agrees.

Gopal in the city comes to know that Rakesh is a smuggler and a bad character. He tells this to Geeta, but Geeta tells him to mind his own business.

Ultimately Geeta also comes to know that Rakesh has indulged himself in all kinds of bad activities. She tries to mould him but he refuses to comply to her good wishes and brings prostitutes Chitra and Chandra (Aruna Irani and Gulnar Irani) in the house to torture his own wife Geeta.

Geeta is thrown out of the house by prostitutes, Rakesh dos not react, but Gopal bears all this silently and a time comes when he burst and wants to kill Rakesh but Geeta interrenes and stop him from doing so. In this process she comes to know that Gopal loved her.....
