This story is about a farmer's loan and money lenders interest on it which the farmer takes for his family's needs and how the money lender ruins the farmer' life by the interest on the loan. To take loan is the farmer's necessity and his necessity becomes the money lender's bread and butter. This story s abut one such farmer who has two sons-Suraj and Karma. Suraj is very intelligent and good in his studies and Karma is just the opposite; because his mother died after giving him birth and hence he was deprived of his father's love. To provide good education to Suraj, Hardayal takes loan from the moneylender Thakur Sher Bahadur, but Hardayal is unable to pay back all his life and the interest keeps increasing. A loan of Rs. 10,00 becomes Rs. 1,50,000 and the pressure of this amount breaks Hardayal backs. After completing his studies when Suraj returns home he learns from his brothers how his father had had to live a life of bondage because of his education. Upon hearing this Suraj shudders in pain. He then goes to the moneylender Thakur and gets amount written on the paper which had his father's thumb impression. At this moment the Thakur realises that a farmer's son should know only how to plough the fields and should not be educated. To take revenge Thakur sends Suraj to Canada and because of his good for nothing useless son's behaviour Hardayal is insulted and in front of the entire Panchayat and villagers made to carry Thakur's load. The story takes a twist when his good for nothing son carries the load of his father in front of whole and bears the brunt of his whip on his naked bod. 

At that time Suraj comes and helps his brother. How both the brothers get together and finish off the money lending business? To know the answers "JEENE  DO".
