Purshottam Harnam Agarwal (Paresh Rawal) had left his own country, India, and settled in London to earn money. Years later, on a Janamashtami Night, he realizes that his grand-daughter (Namrata Shirodkar) has lost the wealth of Indian Culture and Religion. Because when he asked Niki about the reason of her being late and not attending the Pooja - she very plainly replied that as Purshottam was celebrating his friend Krishna's birthday - she was also celebrating her friend Rohit's (Parmeet Sethi) birthday So there's no need to get angry.
Thus he decides to get Niki married in India with the grandson of his old-time friend. Niki is against the marriage but only because of her grandfather's illness she agrees to go to India with butler Cadbury (Shakti Kapoor) who can very hardly speak Hindi.
Niki and Cadbury arrive at Delhi Airport where they meet taxi driver Topi Master (Kader Khan) and guide Romi (Arshad Warsi). Niki bribes Romi and Topi to trick Cadbury who goes to Tikamgadh to fix Niki's marriage. Cadbury is beaten up by the Thakurs due to the mess he creates because of his language problems. The marriage is cancelled.
Purshottam calls Niki and tells her that if she doesn't marry an Indian boy than he will commit suicide. Niki marries Romi on Contract Basis and take him to London along with her. In London Romi tries to mess up with each and everything in order to enrage Purshottam but very thing turns to be the other way round and Purshottam instead of chucking him out develops great regards for Romi to the extent that he wants to transfer all his property, possession and wealth on Romi's name. He somehow comes to know of Romi's and Niki's plan of cheating him and chucks Romi out of the house. On the other side, Niki realises that she has actually fallen in love with Romi.
