"Ek Aur Amar Premm" is a story of Ujjain's Prince Amar, son of King Anandvardhan for whom it was predicted by the astrologers that when the prince grows up he would leave the worldly comforts of life & take Sanyas. (Saintly life). From that day onwards the king decided that he would change the prophecy & will not allow his son to follow the path of a sanyasi, with this aim the king put his son (Prince) in the hands of Nagarvadhu Ragini so that he would grow in the environment of music, poetry, dance & beauty. In this way the king thought that the prince will never think about attaining the life of a sanyasi & to a certain extent the king was right.
In his adulthood prince Amar left his coronation in search of his Dram Girl. Prince Amar succeeded in finding his love of life Princess Rohini & also won his hand in swayamvar. Prince Amar was so engrossed in his love with Princess Rohini that he forgot his love for music, poetry, Nagarvadhu Ragini & most important his duties & responsibilities towards his state & his people.
At this stage of his life a person named Aswapal enters in the life of prince Amar, he gained confidence & trust of the prince & tried to manipulate ways and means in such a way as to keep the couple apart from each other, by the continuous efforts of Ashwapal, he succeeded to create misunderstanding between the couple & the prince started to hate the princess he was forced to think that Love is just infatuation & there is no truth in relationships, he felt that he was being created by his dear ones & this negligence of his has led him to become beggar.
