As and when Dharmendra, playing the role of Professor of Botany impersonates a "chowkidar' and then a chauffeur, he is bound to create some hilarious chaos and a few sensational confusions.

The chowkidar, of course, was not able to hoodwink Sharmila for long, falls in love in adoration of her smartness and marries her.

But Dharmendra, the professor, was confronted with the image of Sharmila's genius 'Jijaji' - Om Prakash. A veritable store-house of talent and intelligence, this Jijaji was so overwhelming for Sharmila's thoughts and dreams that Dharmendra feels an urge to challenge the unseen foe and win for himself a respectable status in her mind.

Om Prakash and his wife were unable to attend their marriage and had asked both to come to Bombay to spend a few days with them. He also was in need of a well-mannered chauffeur, capable of talking in chaste language. Dharmendra seized this opportunity and comes as a chauffeur to this bragging big man. Since Sharmila and her elder brother

David were the co-conspirators, Dharmendra, posing as a champion of chastity of language, overdoes the game to such an extent that Om Prakash and his wife Usha Kiran were almost at their wits end.

Sharmila soon arrives alone and informs. Om Prakash that her professor-husband would come later. In fact she joins with Dharmendra to continue the game further so that together they destroy the peace of mind of Om Prakash and Usha Kiran. It was shocking to note that the newly wedded young sister was throwing away the honour and dignity of the household to the wind and showing signs of unashamed intimacy with the crazy chauffeur.

To add to this crisis, Dharmendra gets his friend Amitabh to impersonate himself and play Sharmila's husband. By this they were able to shatter Om Prakash and Usha Kiran's composure completely but at the same time create an upsetting situation for the newly arrived imposter Amitabh. Amitabh, pretending to be offended for the affair between the chauffeur and Sharmila, comes to stay with another friend Asrani, whose wife has a charming sister Jaya.

Both Jaya and Asrani's wife Lily Chakraborty, sympatised with Amitabh for the tragedy that had visited him presently but the proximity of Jaya was so unnerving to Amitabh that he forgets the role assigned to him and falls head over heels in love with Jaya. This decent young kid was startled and bewildered to find the professor whose wife had run away only a few days ago, could so soon manage to exhibit such surge of emotions towards her. Jaya did not mince her words. She told it to his face that she hated him. Lily Chakraborty went further. She threw away this characterless professor out of her house. Thus the game Dharmendra had started with connivance of Sharmila and David to outwit Om Prakash throw their own friend Amitabh to the mercy of a whirlwind which might have provided laughter to everyone but poor Amitabh was almost on the verge of a heart-break ......
