Amit is a happy-go-lucky guy who has taste in everything that is good in life. He is engaged to be married to a pretty dancer damsel named Chhaya.
Raman, the next door neighbor, comes to Amit with a strange request. He wants to hide in Amit’s flat in order to avoid a group of assassins who are conspiring to kill a foreign dignitary on his visit to Delhi. The assassins know that their plan has been blown by Raman. Amit gives him shelter. Though Raman stage-manages a suicide act to divert the attention of his adversaries, he is murdered brutally one evening.
Before his death Raman had hidden a diary in a sugar-jar. Amit finds it. The blue-print of the murder is in it. In his last message Raman has requested Amit to take over his unfinished mission and save the visiting dignitary, lest India’s relation with a neighboring country may worsen and there may be an impending war.
Amit sets off for Delhi. The police is hot on his trail as he is suspected of Raman’s murder. The assassins are alson after his blood.
Amit dodges them all and reaches Delhi. How he fails the murder-bid is th spine-chilling climax of “CHAKRAVYUHA”
