'Atmaram' the film takes up the eternal, ever topical problem of choice, which in tragic circumstances to choice between life and death.
The story revolves around a person, who wants to live by his own name but cannot. The society and the law force him to live and undergo life imprisonment as Ranjit Singh. But the same person when wants to die as Ranjit Singh to save the honour of others, the law wants him to die as Atmaram.
