ANJALI PRASAD SINHA had vowed to her dying husband that she would not allow her son SURAJ or her grandson RAJA to step into their house ever afterwards because SURAJ had married a commoner against the wishes of his parents. SURAJ alongwith his wife was killed in an accident, but before dying he wished that RAJA should win over the goodwill of his grand-mother.

RAJA meets his grandma, who, bound by her word, refuses him entry into the house. RAJA settles in a tent in front of the house. CHHAYA is a pampered house-keeper of Grandma. No other servant dare disobey her. With a view to composing the differences, CHHAYA provides all facilities of food and clothing to RAJA secretly. In doing so, RAJA and CHHAYA fall in love.

The Estate Manager has evil intentions to grab the property. He employs goondas to forcibly evict RAJA. The sight of bleeding RAJA compels Grandma to revoke her oath and she embraces RAJA.

The manager proposes a marital relation between RAJA and his daughter SONU, but is rebutted by RAJA. Manager exposes the love affair of CHHAYA and RAJA, with the result that CHHAYA is disgracefully thrown out of the house. After this episode CHHAYA's brother promises her hand to MANIRAM, a dangerous guy of their clan. CHHAYA is kept under house arrest. When RAJA comes to meet CHHAYA, he is brutally thrashed by MANIRAM.

RAJA promises to Grandma, never to meet CHHAYA again. Now manager renews his proposal of SONUS's marriage. Did he succeed in his plans? Did MANIRAM marry CHHAYA? What was the store for two loving hearts?
