A versatile artist in both Marathi and Hindi, Ramesh Deo is a well-known actor in cinema and theatre. He has also produced and directed numerous Marathi films and TV serials. 
He has appeared onscreen in films as recently as Jolly LLB (2013). 

The actor’s wife, Seema Deo, is herself a veteran actress in both the languages and has been a wonderful partner both on and off the screen. Their most remembered performance till date is in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Rajesh Khanna starrer Anand (1970). Over his long career, he has also appeared in films like Andhala Magto Ek Dola (1956) in Marathi and Aarti (1962), Jeevan Mrityu (1970), Raampur Ka Lakshman (1972), Kora Kagaz (1974), Mere Apne (1971) and the 1987 Sridevi-Anil Kapoor starrer Mr India in Hindi.
