Shama, the elder sister of Kiran, was destined to facesuch a situation. To carry out the wishes of her deceased parents she stooped to become a domestic servant, so that her sister Kiran could get proper education. Kiran on her part could never see through things and just squandered away the money to meet the expenses of her vagabond lover Ajit. 

Like two travellers treading a lonely path, Shama happened to come across Sham, the son of her Master, and their mutual liking bloomed into love. An Ex-Military Colonel, who happened to be a neighbour and friend of Sham, played a significant role in bringing the lovers nearer. 

If Shama was an orphan, Sham was no better as his step mother made his life miserable. The moment she came to know of their love-tale,s he turned out Shama. But within the brief encounted Shama had become the very breath of Sham. He decided to abandon his parents and take Shama to stop distant place. But as luck would have it, their plans were frustrated. That eventful evening arrived Kiran just to reveal her sister a secret that compelled Shama to leave Sham without seeing the latter. With a heavy heart she left her lover and along with her sister settled in another city.
