Kevin D Mello

Kevin D'Mello has worked extensively in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and English films. An arts graduate, he received his training at the Goa Kala Akademi in dramatics. Thereafter, he trained in dance at David Furtado’s Dance Akademi situated at Panaji, Dona Paula and Porvorim. He is the teacher of dramatic arts at the Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa. His first role was in a telefilm entitled Just a Minute, directed by Dnyaneshwar Moghe..
Kevin has participated in Rajendra Talak’s O Maria (2010).The film is centered around the preservation of Goa’s identity and the need to be vigilant in this respect. He then ventured to take part in Jerry Dias’s The Victim in 2012. Thereafter he participated in Joe Rose’s Mariola which dealt with the sensitive issue of child abuse. Further he took part in Joywin Fernandes’s MMS in 2014. He then proceeded to act in Michael Mascarenhas’s Soul Curry (2016). Kevin then took part in Darshan Lolienkar’s love story Mogaan (2016). He has also acted in Harry Fernandes‘s Zanvoi No. 1 and Joywin Fernandes’s 7 Days.
Also taking part in Marathi films, he acted in Sutra and Prem at First Sight. Besides films he has acted in the television series CID. He has also displayed his considerable talent in C. Alvares’s telefilm Ghutt (Mystery). Similarly he had done documentaries like Ragging and Web Series. Kevin has also participated in English dramas like The Post Office and Red Oleanders which have been performed in Dublin. He is also a talented singer.
Some of his videos are Juliana, Maria and Moro Pasun (Till death). He has also done a video entitled Forca Goa on a football game. His video Andharon ke Kwab has been well appreciated. He has won first prize at the Goa Kaa Akademi’s singing competition and has stood second in the Goan Idol contest.
Some of his Hindi films are Finding Fanny, Chasme Badhur, Dum Maro Dum, Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl, Joe B. Carvalho and Shamitabh.
