Gnana Rajasekaran, a former government official, is a film maker, screenwriter and playwright. His directional debut was Mogha Mull in 1995. He has also directed Bharati (2000), Periyar (2007) and Ramanujam (2014). Rajasekaran has won four National awards, three Tamil Nadu state awards, and his movies have been screened at many international film festivals.
