Producer and distributor B D Kapoor is known for films such as Teesra Kaun (1965), C.I.D 909 (1967) and Yeh Dil Kisko Doon (1963). 

His 1963 production Yeh Dil Kisko Doon was a romantic drama directed by K Mishra. Starring Shashi Kapoor and Ragini, its plot revolved around a millionaire who, in search of love, leaves his palatial home and roams the town disguised as a tramp. He meets and falls in love with a gypsy girl. However, trouble follows in the form of a carnival owner. The film was known for its music and songs composed by Iqbal Qureshi, most of which were rendered by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle.

Teesra Kaun, which he produced in 1965, was an action crime drama directed by Mohammed Hussain. It starred Feroz Khan, Shashikala Jawalkar and Shyam Kumar. Written by Bal Kishan Mouj, it depicted the story of a man who goes on the run after being accused of stealing diamonds from the future in-laws of his sister.

The action crime drama C.I.D 909, which he produced in 1967, was directed by Mohammed Hussain and had a star cast comprising Feroz Khan, Mumtaz Askari and Helen. The plot revolved around a wealthy professor Bhardwaj, who had invented a formula by which any powerful country in the world could come to terms of peace. The formula was written in code words, which only he or his daughter Reshma could de-code. Two different underworld gangsters Mr Wong and Mr Vasco are in pursuit of the formula. Wong kidnaps the wife of the professor and, by torturing her, forces the professor to decode the formula. However, the formula gets stolen from Wong by Vasco. To handle the case, they appoint CID 909 to protect the formula as well as the Bhardwaj family. The film follows his exploits as he outwits the evil masterminds.

B D Kapoor’s son Mahesh Kapoor is the proprietor of Kapoor Film Makers.
