Sumant Batra Managing Trustee

Sumant Batra is an insolvency lawyer of international repute and a thought leader. Rated as India's No. 1 insolvency lawyer by Legal 500 for many consecutive years, and amongst the top 100 restructuring lawyers globally, he has worked extensively on policy matters in Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East and South Asia as senior international consultant to the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, OECD and other developmental institutions. His contribution to the development of Indian insolvency system is well-acknowledged. He is President of SIPI – a think tank on insolvency. He is the author of best seller book on insolvency - Corporate Insolvency – Law & Practice. A cultural champion, Sumant is the founder and architect of a number of innovative creative projects to preserve and promote the Indian heritage, culture, art and literature. Asha Batra Founder Trustee

Asha is the co-founder of Indian Cinema Heritage Foundation, which manages Cinemaazi. A senior partner of Kesar Dass B. & Asociates, a leading law firm of the country, Asha graduated in Botany with Honours before studying law. Born and grown up in the mountains of North East, she has deep and sensitive understanding of the problems faced by the people living in the hill villages and works for their welfare.

She is the Managing Director of Treepie Hospitality Private Limited, which manages Te Aroha, a boutique hotel located in the mountains of Uttarakhand.
