Tatar (Danny Denzongpa) is wiedro, who wants to usurp a mystical secret, that can make him all-powerful and for this purpose he kidnaps Roshni (Anuradha), the scientist's daughter, who's got the secret of her father Roshni's mother (Rohini Hattangadi) engages Ram (Samraat) to save her daughter while another hound Jaabar (Mukesh Rishi) gives supaari to another youth Shyam (Manik Bedi) to either capture Roshni or eliminate her after getting the secret, and also to exterminate Ram. Under dramatic circumstances, both Ram and Shyam encounter each other and they realise that without one another, they cannot achieve their respective mission. One is out to protect her while the other to kill her While Shaym seeks the help of a gypsy girl Sunaina (Divya Dutta), a mysterious girl Rita (Kanchan) is in hot pursuit of Ram.

While Tatar is himself engaged in a combat with a deadly DIG (Om Puri), both Ram and Shyam manage to sneak into the den where Roshini is held captive. Meanwhile, Roshni hands over the secret to Tatar and now, the mission of the duo is to lay siege of the secret, which can make or break the nation.

Do they succeed in retrieving the lethal secret? What happens to Roshni? What is Rita's real identity ? Does Sunaina help out Shyam in getting across to Roshni ?

The answers lie in the breath-taking, no-holds-barred thrilling climax of Raju Mavani's "RAM AUR SHYAM".
