Is money a key to happiness?
As in the prequel to this Phir Hera Pheri we had met three characters - Raja, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, who were financially broken fighting and surviving together they fell into a kidnaping plot because of the temptation to solve their financial mess but ended up getting caught. But still the destiny blessed them with a little fortune.
This sequel begins from a point where they have ended up getting lots of money. More money leads them to a greed to get even more money. Raju finds a shortcut - a deal offered from a wrong number which says that the money can be doubled in 21 days, but the minimum amount to be invested is one crore.
They have got only 30 lacs. But they are so tempted to get the easy money that they buy, borrow and steal and get the deal done.
Dreaming to be super rich in 21 days, one the 22nd day they face the reality that they have been cheated. They are back to square one. Again they have to live in the chawl and the people from whom they had borrowed are chasing them day and night. To solve this, again they fall into a small Hera Pheri which leads them into a serious deep well of troubles.
Now whether they get out of it or not is the basic story of Phir Hera Pheri.
