Love is always the all-alluring ever inciting phenomena of human heart.

Surekha, the darling daughter of Balaramji, the elder brother of Lord, Krishna went for hunting and when she was in full chase, the horses of her chariot went out of control. The hunting game at once changed into a chase for life against death. Abhimanyu, the son of Subhadra, who had mastered the art of war and controlling animals, while in the womb of his mother, who when in pregnancy used to listen the stratagems of war from her brother Lord Krishna and her husband Veer Arjuna had also come to hunt in the same forest. He noticed Surekha in trouble and quickly riding behind her chariot saved her from a great disaster. Both were brought up together in their childhood. The very first touch of youth after a gap of years, immediately changed the childhood intimacy into love. Love the unfathomable, uncontrollable supreme emotion of human beings on the earth.

Surekha, as she frequently used to do in her childhood, fooled Abhimanyu and rode away on his horse smiling. Abhimanyu looked on bewitched and lost.

Balraamji was anxious to wake his darling daughter, future queen of the Kauravas. So he broke the word given to Subhadra to marry Surekha to Abhimanyu. Subhadra, who had come to see her brothers to arrange for marriage was greatly hurt of feeling humiliated left Dwarka immediately with Abhimanyu.

While on this way to lndraprustha, they lost their way in a forest. It so happened that this was the place of Hindriuba the demon, wife of Bhimseu, whose son Ghatotkach the most powerful young man, who was master of magic and charms, ruled. Ghatotkach attacked Abhimanyu, who fell down unconscious Subhadra in utter helplessness, began to wail and cry. Hindriuba, the mother of Ghatotkach hearing the cries came upon the scene and recognising Subhadra took both at her place. Ghatotkach being as harmed of attacking his own brother, Abhimanyu being the son of the younger brother of Bhimseu, quickly went down in the Patallok (nether regions) and brought back the medicine, which alone could bring back Abhimanyu to his normal life.

Who can change the course of uncontrollable love? Abhimanyu decided to marry Subhadra and Ghatotkach all went into help him. Pandavas were living in forest
Duryodhan was the arch enemy of Arjuna, the father of Abhimanyu. With great pomp and pride, Duryodhan went to Dwarka along with Mama Shakuni, to marry his son Laxman to Surekha. Lord Krishna loved Abhimanyu dearly but kept an outward show of always obeying his elder brother Baldevaji. Baldevaji did not like Abhimanyu meeting Surekha.

But love is after all love, Uncontrollable. Surekha and Abhimanyu met in secret. Baldevaji there upon strictly prohibited such meetings, but Lord Krishua secretly encouraged Abhimauyu and Surekha Ghatotkach with his with his magic, charm and physical strength began to fool and trouble the marriage party. It was at once a fun and fear. Laxman was a weak hearted nervous youth, who poorly faced the powerful tactics of Gatotkach and Abhimanyu. Mama Shakuni and Duryodhan were beyond this wits to notice unexpected harassments and troubles.

How Ghatotkach and Abhimanyu in most thrilling and laugh tickling situations succeeded to foil the marriage of Surekha and Laxman is a thing to be seen on the screen.

This is one of the most enjoyable mythological episodes torn from the pages of Mahabharata is brought to screen by Nitin Pictures.
