As the little suggests, this is the story of intense love between a boy and a girl. Arun (PRABHU DEVA) is an orphan. He has been brought up by a kind couple. Arun has a flair for dancing and he has no match for his talents in the country. This is a raw point with Mridula (NAGMA) who is the daughter of a rich man he owns the college where Mridula and Arun are studying.

A dance competition is planned on the annual day of the college. Mridula knows that she will be defeated if she is pitched against arun. Her father assures her that he will dissuade Arun from taking part in the competition. When Arun refuses to be bought, Mridula’s father has him hit by goondas so that he can not reach the Venue of the competition. When Mridula comes to know of her fathers treachery, she apologises to Arun in front of the whole college Mridula’s father wants to marry Mridula to the son of his rich friend who lives in London. For this he has to put a strong barrier in the love path of Arun and Mridula. He arranges, spends lavishly and gets the sister of Arun, married in a rich, and respectable family which, otherwise, Arun could not afford. He uses this lever on Arun to forget his daughter. Being undebted to Mridula’s father Arun leaves india and starts performing in a hotel in London.

Mridula, who is unaware of this background, almost looses her mental balance. Doctor advised Mridula’s father to take her away from the familiar enviornment of Arun.

She is taken to London in the fond hope that she will be married to the rich man’s son in London.

Mridula meets Arun In London, Arun refuses to recognise telling her he is David and not Arun. Mridula is not convinced of this deceit. She decides to unearth the truth. Her efforts bring her back to India. She is able to extract the truth from Arun’s mother Armed with these facts. She confronts Arun with the truth. In the beginging Arun continues to deny the truth, but finally, the insistant attempts of Mridula makes his relent.

Mridula’s father also sees the facility of his goal and condensends to marry his daughter Mridula’s to Arjun.
