Today where men and women are moving together shoulder to shoulder on the way of progress, there are some places where women's life is worse to worst, on one side we worship the goddess, and on the other hand we are anxiously awaiting for a baby boy. Even today we kill the baby-girl where as we worship the Goddess. In the male dominating society, it's a challenge to the double standard thinking. And the shock which comes across, is called Kanyadaan.

Kailashnath -  A father who dis-likes baby-girl and commands to kill them as they are born. His wife gives birth to a baby-girl (Nandini) and takes promise before she dies, from him that he should not kill her. Kailashnath-marries second time as his wife dies. Who gives birth to two baby boys, where he is so excited that he neglects his baby-girl, innocent and simple Nandini is brought up in a very dis-liking environment.

Nandini - Innocent and simple Nandini grows up in search of father's love. As the time passes she gets married in a house where there is a lot of miss-haps and its beyond her imagination.

Sanjay - Nandini's husband whose mentally retarded innocent and is tortured by his step brother and step mother. As he cannot take care of himself he also cannot take care of his wife.

Will Nandini ever get father's love?
Will Nandini come out of in-laws trap?
Will Kailashnath come out of thought of having a baby-girl is a curse?

In search of the answers to these questions family and a social thinking's name is Kanyadaan.
