Hum is the story of a family that lived in poverty and worked at the Docks to make a square meal. Life was tough and survival was only of the fittest. The depression even made it more so. Gloom and despair writ large over the faces of these people. It was difficult to give education to the children, when nobody knew where the next meal was coming from. There was exploitation of the weaker by the strong and they governed; set rules. In these tragic circumstances a family of three brothers became the victims of destruction when they lost their own parents. They decided to leave this world and settle far away where no one could even cast a shadow of their past tragedies on them.

They survived happily for many years in the world of hope and happiness. Till one day fate took and ugly turn and destiny jolted them out of their slumber. They stood facing stark reality. The past had caught up with them. They had left behind some ambers in the ashes that rekindled to a fire to recall them to their roots. Here once again the family had to go through the fire of time and emerge finally victorious never to look back again in fear. This is the story of HUM. The story of a family that stood by each other in all their grave crisis, and stood the test of time to emerge brighter than the shining stars in the galaxy.......HUM.
