Abhigyan Shakuntalam the masterpiece epic of Kalidas is not only one of the most precious gems of Indian Literature but also comprises just every human emotion in the human-range it is truly our encyclopaedia of human nature.

As is well known the epic revolves around the king Dushyant, his beloved Shakuntala and their illegitimate son Bharat.

Similarly, the story of Bandhan Kuchchey DhagonKa is also revolves around the emotional stirrings of Prem (Shashi Kapoor) a married-man in the form of Dushyant.

Prem goes off on a business tour and meets business magnate Sneh (Zeenat Aman).

Sneh - the embodiment of pious and selfless love - and Prem are brought together by human instincts and desires which are fulfilled. But both realise their moral responsibility and get separated.

Prem returns to home - to his wife Bhavna (Raakhee).

Bhavna - a mirror image of faith, trust and truest feelings of love for Prem. But Prem...hides the string attachment with Sneh.

Later... Sneh is caught up in the whirl of emotions. She gives birth to Prem's Child.

The circumstances compel Sneh to bring father's love for her son. This helpless situation brings Prem to face with his duty and responsibility to Sneh. And it is a test of a wife's faith and future.

This is the moment of supreme sacrifice, the moment of the greatest offering of love which a woman heart is capable.

Bandhan Kuchchey DhagonKa is the promise of a better appreciation of the nobility of which a human heart is capable.
