15th August is the auspicious day for Indian's because on this very day our country was freed from the hand of Britishers. It is known as the Independence Day by every Indian. This Independence was achieved by our leader's after sacrificing their lives but what is happening in today's free India - everybody has become selfish - The politicians, the police and secular leaders - they are all trying to part poor Indian masses for their personal gains, they ar e ready to sell the country for their personal interests.

The story of our film '15th August' is also passing through the above said phases. Two main characters Makhen Chaudhry and self styled leader Nagpal are two opponents. Chaudhry Makhen Singh is a man of principal where as Mantri Nagpal is crook. He wants Makhen Singh's hand for his proposed cement factory which Makhen Singh refuses to part. The result he has to leave this world for ever leaving behind his two sons Ram Singh a military soldier and Vikram a Medical Student. Both are brave but in course of time Ram Singh also dies in the hands of his brother Vikram. Nagpal fights election to become the Chief Minister of the State, and Vikram pledges that he will never allow him to take oath of Chief Minister. Nagpal wins and searing ceremony is fixed on 15th of August.
