Home! Sweet Home!!

The very idea of having a house of her own brightens up a woman's imagination. It is because she lives as well as dies for it.

Kamini's widowed mother thought that her daughter would never have settled home life as he was too simple to be wedded to any well-laced man. But as was destined, a young engineer, Kamal, employed with a house construction company came and resided in the house opposite to that of Kamini. Incidentally Kamal also yearned to set up a house of his own and when he saw Kamini, he found in her the fulfillment of a long cherished desire. Kamini too discerned a world of possibilities when she came to know that Kamal was building a house of his own. They were both drawn to each other and ultimately they decided to marry.

Being too happy at this unexpected development, Kamini's mother made all sorts of arrangements for the wedding day. She invited friends and relatives and amongst those who responded was Chand - Kamini's dearest friend from Bombay.

Chand was educated, ultra-modern and a clever girl. She came and was lodged at Kamal's bungalow and was not told for fun's sake that Kamal was her friend's fiance.

Incidentally, she too fell for Kamal and started loving him. It was then that she came to know who Kamal really was. But then it was too late. She refused to unstretch the tentacles of her beauty and persisted in her love for the young engineer. Kamal, too, was swept off his feet and for his love for Chand jilted Kamini.

The world closed and darkened for Kamini and her mother. They could never believe that a friend would stoop so low as to snatch away the man of her own friend. But then Chand had performed this miracle.

Kamini wrapped herself in grief and despair. But one day when she mustered up courage and came out to visit a cloth shop, she met Chand there. Chand added insult to the injury and asked Kamini if she had found another man for herself. Kamini felt like treating Chand to pieces, but then overcoming her rage and concealing her real feelings, told Chand that she was soon to be married. They came out of the shop and there a young man, sitting in a car offered a lift to Kamini. Kamini was unwilling but then to chock Chand she readily accepted the offer. Telling Chand that this was the man she was going to marry, she proceeded towards the car, opened the door and drove away with this stranger.

This stranger - Kishore - got interested in Kamini but shocked by her unhappy experience, she would not encourage him. One day when Kishore casually mentioned that he had a little money with which he would build a small house wherein they could live happily, Kamini's imagination again brightened up. But this time it was not the same ray of hope and happiness that had lit her innocent face - it was rather the demon of revenge and destruction that gnawed her heart and fired her imagination. She decided to marry Kishore with an idea to have a house just opposite that of Kamal and show him what he had missed by jilting her.

And actually after marriage, she maneuvered to get a house opposite that of Chand and along with her husband she came to live there.

Both Chand and Kamal were dazed to find Kamini their next door neighbour. Kamini was not any the easier in her own mind. Kamal, Chand, Kamini and Kishore - all were sitting on a volcano. Did it erupt? If it did, then what happened? Kashyap Productions' 'NAYA GHAR' unfolds that with all the dramatic impact intrinsic to the volcanic situations.
