Our story begins with the Hero of Duapur Yug Bhagwan Sri Krisshin, when he had killed Raja Kans. To take avenge of the assassination of Kans, Jerasangh, the king of Magdha attacked Mathura. This battle continued for years Sri Krishin and his brother Balram were now grown up. When Sri Krishin saw that because of him, his innocent subjects were killed, he and Balaram left Mathura. Jerasingh's messenger, Demon Kalyuvan, came to kill them. But he was himself killed in the battle.

In the meantime, Shri Krishin established the new township of Dwarka and he became 'Dwarka Deesh' the king of Dwarka. Both Rukmani, Rukmi's sister and daughter of Satiajeet Satyabhama looked upon Sri Krishin as their husband. But Rukmi's evil friend Shishupal was dreaming of getting Rukmani and Kreetvarma's friend Satdhanwa was mad after Satyabhama. Satiajeet had acquired "Simantac Mani" (Gold Raining Jewel) from the God of the Sun (Surya Devta) Satiajeet got more and more Gold daily with the help of this Mani.

On the advice of Naradmuni, Rukmi arranged a swayanwar for Rukmani. On the receipt of Rukmani's love letter Sri Krishin carried Rukmani away from Gauri Mata's temple. Satyabhama also became anxious for the glimpse of Sri Krishin. To console her, Narad told her that her desire will also be fulfilled in time to come.

It was Ganesh Chaturthi suddenly Sri Krishin saw the moon. After some days Krishna went to Hastinapur on the invitation of Kauravas. But not tasting their delicious dishes, he ate simple and poor food of Vidur. There he killed the wicked Shishupal at Rassya Yagna.

There was a severe famine in Brij. To help his people Sri Krishin went Satiajeet to get the Simantak Mani from him. Seeing this Satiajeet's brother Prasen, ran with Simantak Mani in to a forest, where he was killed by Lion Jamvant killed the lion, obtained the Mani and gave it to his daughter Jamvanti. On the instigation of Satdhanva and Kreetvarma, Satiajeet accused Sri Krishin of his brother's death and the thieft of Simantak Mani, it was because he had looked at the moon on the Ganesh Chaturthi night. Sri Krishin new set out to search for the mani.

Because of the Mani there was a battle between Sri Krishin and Jamvant.

Seeing this ill-omen, Rukmani and Satyabhama worshipped Sri Ganesh.
