Human civilization form the beginning of time has been process of continous evolution centering round woman's quality to love and to create. Anjali is one such eternally devotional, loving young women. Orphaned in early childhood, she blossoms into a lovely young nurse, admired by her collegues and superiors and loved by her patients, specially her pet child patient Dabboo, who gets a second life because of her care.

Anjali falls in love with a pilot, Kewal and is engaged to marry him. Both are lost in the estasy of love. Then suddenly Kewal has to leave for his flight. Kewal's friend Shankar, a man of the under-world, wants to take advantage of Anjali. His failure turns him into a vengeful beast.

Anjali, when dejected by the disappearance of Kewal, is patronised by Dabboo's grandmother and taken to Ranikhet to look after Dabboo.

Dabboo's father, Ashok, is a woman-hater but the eternal woman in the person of Anjali transforms him. Ashok wants to marry Anjali.

Meanwhile Kewal arrives on the scene. Shanker, the beast, also converges on the scene.

What happens afterwards is a drama of emotional, action-packed climax which rises in a crescendo.
