Cinemaazi remembers Behzad Lakhnavi on his death anniversay

Born as Sardar Hasan Khan in 1900, Behzad Lakhnavi is regarded as one of the most eminent Urdu poets of his time. Introduced to All India Radio by Zulfikar Ali Bukhari, he used to work for them before migrating to Pakistan after the Partition. A writer of naata, ghazals and nazms, also writing lyrics for films like Taj Mahal (1941), Roti (1942), Poonji (1943), Dhanwan (1946), Andhon Ki Duniya (1947), Anokha Pyar (1948), Aag (1948), Nisbat (1949), Ladli (1949), Pagle (1950), Khel (1950), Ada (1951) and Pyar Ko Baten (1951). His final days were spent in financial hardships. He passed away on this day in 1974. Cinemaazi remembers him on his death anniversary.
