Cinemaazi remembers Tarun Bose on his birth anniversary

Tarun Bose was born on 14 September 1928 in Kolkata, but was brought up in Nagpur. Due to this, he was proficient in Hindi and Urdu. He became involved in theatre from an early age and used to act in radio plays on All India Radio, Nagpur. When he performed a play at his school St Frances High, Bimal Roy who had been invited as a chief guest was mighty impressed with him. He invited him to home to Bombay to work in films. He started his film career in the Asit Sen directed Apradhi Kaun? (1957) and went on to carve a path for himself in films like Madhumati (1958), Sujata (1959), Bandini (1963), Kohra(1964), Gumnaam (1965), Anupama (1966), Love in Tokyo (1966), Devar (1966), Chhoti Si Mulaqat (1967), Anokhi Raat (1968), Satyakam (1969), Aan Milo Sajna (1970) and many more. He was known for playing doctors, lawyers and judges. He also worked in an American television series Maya. Cinemaazi remembers the respected actor on his birth anniversary.
