Prince Jacob is perhaps the most successful director of the Konkani stage. Recently his play Padri achieved the feat of performance of 350 shows—the highest among Konkani dramas. So far, he has written 66 dramas. He was given the title of Comedy Prince Jacob by the prolific Jesuit Priest late Fr. Antonio Pereira. He has had uninterrupted success in Konkani dramas. He was the first to present khell-tiatr (folk play) in London with his team. He has written and directed 25 of his plays all starting with the letter 'P', which has been his lucky mascot. The last of his dramas with the letter P is Padri (Priest) which has also been made into a Konkani film—Padri(2005). A hardworking personality who loves to accept challenges, he has brought several innovations in his plays, like beautiful sceneries, sound arrangement, melodious music, good story, message and rib-tickling comedy. In comedy, he has been supported by his sibling, Comedy Supremo Humbert. A glimpse of his innovations can be seen as magic in Pidda (Disease), more magic and illusion in Raza Ranni (King Queen), use of projector in Rogot (Blood), rural setting in Zaiat Zage ( Awaken), a double revolving stage in Konn Uddttolo (Who will rise?), a cripple in Patkam (Sins), Doberman on the stage in Pavnnek (Auction), Japanese stage in Rostad (Vagabond). His Rupnnem (Mask) is based on the famous Marathi drama Sahi Re Sahi (Really true).

Besides dramas, Prince Jacob has participated in films. He produced his own Konkani film Padri (2005) and a telefilm Roddonaka (Don’t cry). The names of Konkani films in which he has participated areAleesha(2004), Sudd (Vengeance, 2004), Mortoo (2013), Nachom-ia Kumpasar (Let’s dance to the rhythm, 2015), K Sera Sera (2016), MMS (2015), Connection (2017), O La La (2018), 7 days (2019), Sophiya (2017), Noxibacho Khell (2016), Zanvoy No.1 (2018) and Benddkar (2019).

He has donned the presidentship of Tiatr Academy of Goa wherein he has conducted acting courses for adults as well as for children. Besides this he has been the celebrity RJ for Radio FM 92.7 from the year 2006 onwards. Earlier he was a celebrity RJ for Radio Mid-day for three years. He has performed shows for charity as well.
