Actor Master Bhagwandas, attached to Ranjit Studios, owned by Chandulal Shah and Gohar Mamajiwala, worked in the early silent and talkie film era in Hindi cinema. He is known for his work in leading roles in films such as Devi Devyani (1931), Vanraj Kesari (1932), and Shaitani Chakkar (1933). 

The Ranjit Movietone mythological sound hit of 1931 - Devi Devyani saw him feature as the character Kach in the Chandulal Shah directorial opposite leading star Gohar. The star cast also comprised Miss Kamala, D Bilimoria, Keki Adajania, S Baburao, Baba Vyas, and Mr Thatte. This film inaugurated the famous Ranjit Studio productions and the use of Audio-Camex sound equipment. It portrayed the cosmic battle between the gods and demons which reaches a stalemate when the sage Shukracharya (Adajania) instantly restores every fallen demon to life. The god Indra (Baburao), on advice from Brihaspati (Vyas), sends Kacha (Bhagwandas) to the sage to learn his magic secret. Shukracharya's daughter, Devayani (Gohar) likes Kacha and the latter is accepted as the sage's disciple. The demon Vrisha Parva (Thatte) tries to kill Kacha but the youth is rescued by Devayani until the demons succeed in dissolving Kacha's body in alcohol and make Shukracharya drink the brew. Shukracharya then teaches Kacha the secret chant so that when he dies and Kacha emerges from his stomach, Kacha may bring him back to life again. Kacha's duties now conflict with a love-triangle, as Devayani marries Yayati who loves Sharmistha (Kamala).

In 1932, he featured in Vanraj Kesari/ Red Lion, a Mehta-Luhar production, directed by Harshadrai Sakerlal Mehta, and written by Chimanlal Luhar and Jayant Shyam Varainiwasi. It starred Navinchandra, Lobo, and Baburao Apte

Shaitani Chakkar/ Satan’s Victim (1933) saw him star alongside Ata Mohammed, Sharda, and Vipin in this Shree Narayan Films Company, Ahmedabad production. The film was written by Dada Gunjal and directed by Gunjal as well along with Ata Mohammed.
