Actress Geeta Behl was known mainly for her supporting roles in films such as Meraa Dost Meraa Dushman (1984), Do Premee (1980) and Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai (1981). Born on 23 November, 1957, her father was film producer Sham Behl, who is known for producing films such as Duniya (1968) and The Gold Medal (1984).

She made her film debut with well-known director Raj Khosla's Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978), essaying a character named Geeta. The film featured actors such as Vinod Khanna, Nutan and Asha Parekh in the lead roles. The film proved to be a box office hit. It revolved around the story of a woman who raises the illegitimate son of her husband along with her own son, treating them both equally. However, her decision to hand over property matters to the illegitimate son is met with hostility by her own son.

She went on to appear in a slew of films in the 1980s. Do Premi (1980), in which she featured alongside the main lead comprising Rishi Kapoor and Moushmi Chatterjee, told the story of a young couple who are in love but are prevented from marrying by their respective fathers. Eloping, the youngsters find jobs as a chauffeur and house-maid respectively. However, their employer is under the power and influence of a gangster, who operates a religious sect, and uses a gas chamber to kill those who disagree with him.

Playing a character named Shanti in the Bhisham Kohli directorial Maine Jeena Seekh Liya (1982), she essayed the role of Kesar in the Shatrughan Sinha-Smita Patil starrer Meraa Dost Meraa Dushman (1984). Acting in Maut Ka Saya (1982) directed by Tulsi Ramsay, she starred alongside Anil Dhawan and Vijayendra Ghatge. She also featured in the S Tahir-penned romance film - Naya Safar (1985). The cast of the film included Ranjeet, Kamini Kaushal, Dheeraj Kumar and Sajjan.

Besides Hindi cinema, she also acted in Punjabi and Gujarati language films such as Husn De Hulare (1986), Yaar Gareeba Daa (1984), and Naseeb No Khel (1982). She acted in the Punjabi film Husn De Hulare alongside Raj Babbar and Kuldeep Kalsi, while Yaar Gareeba Daa featured her in a cast that included Satish Kaul and Daljeet Kaur. The Gujarati film Naseeb No Khel, directed by Mehul Kumar, saw her star with Ashish Kuki. A drama genre film, it was reportedly based on the 1970 film Zig Zag.

She retired from films by 1991.

Her father Sham Behl was the brother of producer-director Ramesh Behl, who is the father of Goldie Behl and Shristi Behl. Her father was also a cousin of well-known actor Rajendra Kumar. Her brother, actor Ravi Behl, featured in films such as Inteha (1984), Kharidar (1988), and Dalaal (1993).

Geeta Behl passed away on 1 May, 2021 due to Covid-19. She was 64.
