Cinemaazi remembers Prem Dhawan on his birth anniversary
Known for his patriotic poems, Prem Dhawan got his first break in Dharti Ke Lal (1946). It was the song Chanda re ja re for Ziddi (1948) that earned him widespread renown. He went on to write many memorable songs over the years for films like Arzoo (1950), Tarana (1951), Rahi (1952), Jagte Raho (1956), Guest House (1959), Hum Hindustani (1960) and many more. He was born on 13 June, 1923.
