In city of wonder that is Bombay, every day a new face arrives to become a film hero. One such is Deepak whose luck has never favoured. But after a lot of struggle he achieves a film named 'Maut Ka Kua'. But due to his illness he is unable to work on the Suffocation of the well and ultimately lost the film. deepak has to face another problem and that is regarding his housing but one of his friends solves his problem by arranging him to stay in one of his luxurious flats.

In front of the flat there is a bungalow where a beautiful young lady called Avantika stays and often to express her emptiness she dances in a particular manner at around 8 O'clock. Deepak's duty is to watch her from his flat through a binocular and slowly falls in love with her. But suddenly one night an unknown bearded man enters the bungalow and kills her and all this Deepak watches through his binocular. Inspector Mujumdar is given charge of this case and he describes Deepak's habit of watching through a binocular as madness and warns him not to do so. Deepak is not satisfied with his investigation and tries to solve it himself. And to overcome the grief of Avantika's death he goes to a club where he sees Monica, a dancer dancing in the same manner as Avantika did and he tries to meet Monika but every time he's unsuccessful. Monica's brother is Jacki and John, Inspector Mujumdar and the bearded man try to keep him away from the search. But Deepak keeps his search on.

Does Deepak reach Monica and find out the secret from her heart? Who is Monica? Could Deepak catch the bearded man? Could he become a hero?
