The family of Dittu (Arshad Gujrati) comprised of his beloved wife and their only daughter Miro (Khursheed Bano). Miro worked day in and day out to earn their livelihood. On one terrible day, while Miro was out running errands her mother met with a fatal accident. All the efforts to save her proved futile and she breathed her last. After the death of his wife, Dittu, started searching a suitable match for his daughter Miro. He fixed Miro’s marriage with Talanga’s (Gajendra) only son, unmindful of the fact, that she was already in love with a man named Aslam (Arun Ahuja). On the other hand, Nawab Khan (Gauri), who fancied Miro secretly also forced Dittu to give him Miro’s hand.

In the meantime, Aslam too got engaged to a distant relative. He misses his beloved Miro. The day of Aslam’s wedding soon arrives, but unable to accept anyone else other than Miro as his wife Aslam quietly leaves his home when the marriage ceremonies are in full swing. Similar arrangements were made at Miro’s home on the occasion of her marriage which happens to be on the same day. She decides to visit her mother’s grave one last time before tying the knot because she would have to leave the village with her husband after their wedding. It is at this graveyard that she bumps into her lover Aslam. However unbeknownst to them, Nawab Khan has been keeping an eye on them. He takes the couple captive when he finds an opportunity and sends for Miro’s father at once.
