Even the child in the womb needs food, After birth his inward echoes in the form of first cry. Birds, animals, beasts wander in search of food on land, water and sky. Even human beings go to extent of killing each other for food. Some commit suicide on account of hunger. This story gives an account of such unbearable conditions when people were dying of starvation owing to drought at a particluar place. They had no food to eat-no water to drink. It was a state of acute famine.
A woman with a child of five years was caught in the web of succh circumstances, she was on the verge of death. She could embrace death but being a mother she could not see her child dying for want of food and water, consequently she left her home in search of food and water. She reached a place where devils danced after drinks-she begged for food. She offered to work for them as a servant. They gave her food but she had to pay a heavy price for that, she became a forced victim of their unsatiable lust. The child saw the mother raaped to death. The child was picked by a madari who reared him to grow into a man.
Mohan became a madari and showed his feats to the people on the roads. He pleased people but he a hidden sorrow in his heart. All the time his eyes were searching those villians of society who raped his mother to death.
In this dingy cruel world he found a friend -an angel in man's son of a multi-millionaire who fought for the rights of workers who worked in his father's factory. He had no love no love for his father's wealth. He lived separate in a small house like an ordinarry person. Mohan had love and liking for this man but one day he came to know that the man who raped his mother was the father of this friendly young man. He had taken a pledge to finish his enemy. He stood crossed between a friend and friendship on one hand and vegence of enemy on the other. To do or not to do was the question vexing his mind every moment.
